The National Alcohol Policy Scorecard was released on 8 January 2015 and showed Tasmania is not holding our ground, despite it being a priority for Tasmania.
The National Alliance for Action on Alcohol’s National Alcohol Policy Scorecard provides an assessment of how well Australian jurisdictions are currently doing in their policy responses to reduce alcohol-related harm and where their efforts can be strengthened.
The main highlights:
– ACT is recognised as the leading Australian jurisdiction in alcohol policy in 2014.
– NSW is recognised as the ‘most improved’ jurisdiction in alcohol policy in 2014.
– The Australian Government has received the “Fizzers” trophy for the poorest performance overall in alcohol policy in 2014.
