Alison enters the role with experience in leading a peak representative organisation, and with over a decade’s experience in the Tasmanian Government including senior roles within the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Premier and Cabinet. As a result, Alison enters the role with extensive experience in government grant administration and government relations.
In her current role as CEO of Volunteering Tasmania, Alison has successfully strengthened the organisation’s representative voice for its members. This has included increasing the media profile of the organisation, securing additional funding for the volunteering sector in the recent State Election and increasing attendance at training and development events.
A long-term community volunteer, Alison’s experiences have included consumer and community representative roles for organisations such as Breast Screen Tasmania, the Department of Health and Human Services and Health Services Innovation Tasmania. Alison was also an active community participant in the consultation process for the establishment of the Tasmanian Consumer Health Network.
