The ATDC is pleased to announce that the ‘Managing Trauma in AOD Treatment’ workshops have been rescheduled. These ATDC MEMBERS ONLY clinical workshops will be facilitated by Paula Ross from 360edge.
The workshops will include: how to identify different trauma symptoms and types how trauma manifests in the person and in addiction what distinguishes trauma treatment from addiction treatment and how to integrate the two are trauma and addiction in a ‘chicken and egg’ relationship must someone deal with their trauma to heal their addiction how does an AOD clinician know if the trauma is “too much” or “too severe” effective responses to trauma in AOD treatment two way readiness to change matrix – how to work out what to deal with first understand what it takes to be a best-practice trauma informed service
These workshops are suitable for AOD treatment clinicians and count towards 6 hours of CPD (self logged)
