This year, Elected Directors Penny Chugg (The Salvation Army) and Penny Egan (Cancer Council Tasmania) will be completing their first term on the ATDC Board. Both have confirmed that they will be seeking re-election.
Any member of the ATDC is eligible to also submit an expression of interest for these two Elected Director roles.
If you are interested, and have knowledge, skills or experience in any of the following areas I encourage you to get in contact with me (details below).
- Alcohol, tobacco and other drug treatment services and program delivery
- Financial management
- Government relations
- Consumer representation or alcohol, tobacco or other drugs lived experience
Not-for-profit governance experience is preferred, and Elected Directors are appointed to two-year terms.
Each position is voluntary and there is no remuneration but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, and generally last for two hours (and can be accessed remotely).
Want more information? I can be contacted on 0409 285 340 or via email at mvcliffside@gmail.com. If you wish to nominate, please submit a summary of your background and experience (no more than two A4 pages) and a copy of your CV to admin@atdc.org.au by Friday, 3 July 2020.
ATDC Life Membership: Members are also invited to nominate individuals for life membership to the ATDC to recognise outstanding service over a considerable period of time to the Tasmanian alcohol, tobacco and other drugs sector.
