It’s been a few months since our last update to you on the Data Sharing Project. The ATDC, Dept of Health and Primary Health Tasmania all understood the pressure everyone was under at the time we released the initial version for comment, and greatly appreciated everyone’s time spent reviewing, responding to, and discussing the paper.

Between the version that was distributed and when we planned to release the next version, reviewers’ feedback was incorporated and new sections written. Very few ‘key recommendations’ were made compared to the first core version of the paper. In combination with the Project Manager and Steering Committee, it was decided that it wasn’t to the benefit of stakeholders to release that next version.

Development of the Options Paper is still continuing; the next version will be the complete document and again released for comment and feedback. Stay tuned, that release is planned for a few weeks time.
