All welcome, please RSVP to katie@atdc.org.au by Friday, 13 September 2019.
Dear Members,
Notice is given that the Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs Council’s Annual General Meeting for 2019 will be held at Missiondale, 75 Leighlands Road Evandale on Wednesday, 18 September at 10:00am.
ATDC members, stakeholders and the wider community are invited to join us. Morning tea will be provided.
It is with great pleasure that we will welcome the Honourable Jeremy Rockliff, Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing as our special guest. Minister Rockliff will speak at the conclusion of the AGM, and will be available to stay and speak with members until 11:00am.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to view the 1,000 folded origami crane display (the total number of folded cranes is almost 3,000!), which will be officially launched in Hobart on Friday, 30 August ahead of International Overdose Awareness Day (Saturday, 31 August 2019). We encourage your staff members, or any of your clients and supporters who assisted with the display to join us and view it before it starts its journey around the island.
We will also take the opportunity to farewell long-standing Board Director, Stephen Brown and the membership will have the opportunity to endorse the recommendation to award Mr Grant Herring with the status of life membership.
If you are able to attend in person, please RSVP to katie@atdc.org.au by Friday, 13 September 2019.
If you are unable to attend, please allocate a proxy to represent you and/or your organisation so that a quorum can occur. You can return the proxy form to ceo@atdc.org.au and proxies can be submitted up until the commencement of the AGM. If you need assistance nominating a proxy, please do not hesitate to contact us.
A reminder that you need to be a financial member of the ATDC to vote, and if you are still yet to process your 2019-20 membership payment it would be wonderful if you could organise this as soon as possible.
With kindest regards,
Alison (Public Officer – ATDC)
