You may have noticed your Facebook feed looks quite different today as a result of Facebook’s action to block Australian news content from the platform, as well as blocking Australians from accessing news content from any country.
Unfortunately, this action has also affected many not for profit organisations including several of our members:
- Alcohol and Drug Foundation
- Cancer Council Tasmania
- Drug Education Network Inc.
- Mental Health Families and Friends Tasmania
- Mission Australia
- RAW – Rural Alive & Well
- Tasmanian Government
ATOD peaks in other states have also been affected:
- VAADA – The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association
- WANADA – WA Network of Alcohol & other Drug Agencies
Pages are unable to make any new posts, and all previous posts have been removed/restricted.
DEN has been in touch with the ATDC and intends to appeal as soon as the appeals process is available.
We are investigating to see if any other ATDC members and ATOD organisations have been affected. ATDC members can contact lizk@atdc.org.au to be added to the list of members impacted.
