Do you work with people who smoke and whose lives are increasingly impacted by the rising cost of tobacco?
At current prices, a person who smokes a pack of 20 cigarettes a day will be spending around $10,000 a year on tobacco, perpetuating the cycle of poverty for many.
Quit Tasmania has received Healthy Tasmania funding to deliver the statewide ‘559 Lives project: free Nicotine Replacement Therapy via the Quitline’ for people who are experiencing disadvantage and who smoke.
This is a great opportunity for people who would like to make a quit attempt but find the cost of pharmacotherapy to be a barrier.

Quit Tasmania is a program of ATDC member organisation Cancer Council Tasmania.
